The app is in invitation-only beta. It is not on the App Store or Google Play. To
get in, join the waitlist and wait for an invitation. See
Requesting access.
What you can do
- Discover hotspots: browse the map of the New York City dataset
- Read hotspot details: speed, signal, network type, security, and contributor notes
- Share your own hotspots: contribute connectivity from the Share tab
- Manage your hotspots: view, toggle visibility, and remove hotspots you have shared
The four tabs
The app is organized into four tabs:- Map: the connectivity map, showing hotspots in the dataset
- Share: create and share a hotspot
- Hotspots: the hotspots you have shared
- Profile: your details and settings
What the beta does not do yet
To set expectations for the current build:- Hotspots you create are stored on your device, not on a server
- There is no cross-device sync and no web account
- Hotspots are not monitored for uptime in the background
- The app does not automatically join Wi-Fi networks for you
